Sev Taranto (b. 1999) is a ceramic, glass, and movement artist based in Brooklyn, New York. His practice is informed by an admiration for and interest in the eroticism, beauty, and grossness of botanical forms and carnivorous plants, as well as a study of nonhuman, often amphibious and boneless bodies and movements. He received her Bachelor of Architecture in 2022 from the University of Southern California and completed an Environmental Design Program at the University of California, Berkeley in 2016. She has also presented his work at the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum. He is a technical designer and fabricator working in Brooklyn, NY.
