soil that has been affected by jumping worms

AUGUST 2025

If you work on land or dirt, you may have heard about the jumping worm, an earthworm species introduced to Turtle Island that is particularly harmful to soil and forest systems here. Less commonly known is that all earthworm species in the Northeast are non-native.

As someone who loves worms I made this zine in response to the anxiety I was hearing surrounding jumping worms to share some research I’ve done about earthworms and to help people identify worms in their soil.
